Queenie's Crown is a story of a 10 year old girl name Queenie, who gets the shock of her life when she moves to a new neighborhood. With feelings of excitement and nervousness, Queenie sets out to make new friends at the neighborhood playground. Being the new girl in the neighborhood can be a bit scary. Having to make new friends, and possibly encountering the neighborhood "mean girls" can make it even more frightening. For Queenie, this is exactly what happened. Upon her visit to the playground, Queenie was confronted with harsh criticism because of her natural hair.
