Description
Fletcher Wise, a seasoned detective of the Prescott Police Department, was not having a good day. All he wanted was to leave work a little early and get a much-needed drink at his favorite pub. But when a shocking murder strikes the sleepy town, Fletcher found himself interrogating a young woman who told a story that defied the very laws of nature.
The evidence was cut and dry and Renee's story was full of glaring holes-not to mention what she claims happened was impossible. But Renee insisted she was telling the truth. And as Fletcher tried to understand why she would tell such a far-fetched story, a second murder occurs. Under eerily similar circumstances, a second woman tells the same bizarre story.
As Fletcher investigates the nearly identical and equally impossible stories, he begins to wonder, against his better judgment, whether the two women might be telling the truth. But if he admitted such, the other officers would think he was crazy. And even if he did believe them, how could he ever prove the impossible might actually be possible?
