Igbo language is one of the 8 major Nigerian languages, spoken by Igbo speaking tribes of Nigeria. About 24 million people speak Igbo language. This includes the people of Abia state, Anambra state, Ebonyi state, Imo state, Delta state, Akwa Ibom state, Rivers state and some parts of Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. This book is a guide to keep the tradition of Igbo speaking and culture and inculcating this to our children, and wives/husbands living in diaspora to keep the legacy. Igbo Language is not generally thought in Nigerian schools except in some schools in the East and sparingly in other parts of Nigeria. This has resulted to most people forgetting the basics which is the alphabets that serves as the bedrock of the language. This book provides some historical timelines, food, dressing, the Igbo character and the natural resources and wealth that make Nigeria the 'giant' of Africa.
