Public education often clashes with the legal, ethical, and civil rights of its teachers. One teacher tries to navigate her way through a series of obstacles and setbacks while trying to deal with abject mistreatment and her declining mental health. She is forced out of the field of education and must deal with the aftermath. Resigned to her fate, she looks back on the mistakes of her teaching career. She also realizes that not every misstep is hers.
