Brenda Peekson always seems to be searching--the best college, a fantastic job, a wonderful life, and a great guy with whom to share it all. A turbulent relationship with Brenda's family finds her stepping out from all she's known to embark on a new life at school, making new friends, and acquiring male admirers. Through a series of relationships, Brenda will learn what is most important in her life, and the only one who can decide what's best for Brenda is herself.

About the Author

Lorraine Ophelia Smith has been a communication specialist with an engineering consultant firm for the past twenty years. She previously worked several years as a creative services administrator for the NBC affiliate in Boston, Massachusetts. She is originally from Sumter, South Carolina, and a graduate of Johnson C. Smith University, majoring in communication arts. She enjoys reading romance novels, traveling, cooking, and entertaining her family and friends. Smith has a son, Joshua, and lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
